PokéSage is an independent Pokémon fan website operated by Dusty Rocket Games in the Netherlands. For privacy questions, data requests, corrections or rights concerns, contact contact@dustyrocketgames.com.
Guest play and browser storage
Guest progress, preferences, favorites, collection checklists, trainer-card details, PokéGrid answers and shiny-hunting journals are saved in localStorage in the browser you use. These records do not automatically sync across devices or become verified online scores. Information Center lookups, encounter-game preferences and region checklists may also be saved locally. Clear this site's storage in your browser to remove local records; doing so can permanently remove unsaved progress. Use the export options available in Trainer HQ and Shiny Hunter to keep your own copies.
Legacy game accounts
Registration for the legacy game-account system remains closed. Optional collector accounts, described below, are separate and available through the Account page. When an existing account is used, the service stores the trainer name, a salted password hash, recovery-code hash, creation date, hashed session identifiers and expiry times. It also stores submitted game activity, scores, private-league memberships, trainer-card details, collection and wishlist entries, and claimed daily missions. Account-session cookies are used to keep a signed-in user authenticated and can last up to 30 days.
Trainer names and verified scores can appear on leaderboards. Collection and wishlist entries are self-reported, not proof of ownership in a Pokémon game. Signed-in account controls provide account-data export and account deletion. Deletion removes the associated sessions, scores, trainer profile, collection entries, mission claims and leagues owned by that account. Browser-only records are separate and should also be cleared in your browser.
Why information is processed
Local storage provides the save features you choose to use. Collector-account records support sign-in and private collection saving. Legacy game records support progress, scoring and private leagues. The website and its hosting provider may process standard technical request details, such as IP addresses and timestamps, to deliver pages, diagnose problems and prevent abuse. Avoid putting sensitive information in trainer names or other free-text fields.
External data, artwork and audio
Your browser retrieves reference data from PokéAPI and may load artwork or Pokémon cry audio from GitHub-hosted PokéAPI resources and jsDelivr. Those providers receive the technical information normally sent with a network request, including your IP address. Their services have their own privacy practices. Reference information may be incomplete or differ between games.
Advertising and Google services
We are setting up Google AdSense verification and Search Console. Advertising is not currently active on PokéSage, and this release does not install Google Analytics. The AdSense ownership meta tag and ads.txt authorization file do not themselves load advertising scripts or set advertising cookies.
Before advertising is activated, this notice will be updated to describe its data use and applicable consent choices. A Google-certified consent tool will be configured for applicable European visitors. Search Console verification and sitemap submission allow us to manage how the website is discovered in Google Search; they do not themselves install visitor tracking code.
Your choices and requests
You can use the guest features without creating an account, export supported local records, clear browser storage, or use account export/deletion controls for an existing account. Contact the operator above to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, to object to its use, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need information sufficient to identify the relevant record before acting. You can also contact your local data-protection authority, including the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Children and personal details
Do not submit a child's real name, contact information or other identifying details. A parent or guardian can contact the operator about a child's information.
Independent fan project
PokéSage is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon names, characters, artwork and audio remain the property of their respective rights holders. Data access through PokéAPI does not itself grant commercial artwork rights. No claim of commercial artwork licensing is made here. Rights holders can contact the operator above.
Pokémon card catalogue and local card binder
The card browser loads catalogue records and available card artwork from TCGdex (api.tcgdex.net and assets.tcgdex.net). Those services receive standard technical request information such as an IP address. Recently retrieved catalogue data may be cached in this browser for up to six hours. When collecting as a guest, your card binder and wishlist, including quantities, printing choices and condition labels, stay in this browser using localStorage, independently of any account. Optional collector accounts can sync a separate private binder, as described below. Export a backup before clearing browser storage. Card records are self-reported and are not authenticated, graded or valued by this service. Cardmarket EUR and TCGplayer USD market snapshots are fetched via TCGdex where available. Card-detail responses are cached in sessionStorage for up to 15 minutes; older saved responses may be shown if a refresh fails and are identified as offline or older quotes. Catalogue lists may be cached for six hours. A marketplace preference is saved in localStorage. Quotes are third-party references, not condition-adjusted, language-specific or graded valuations. Catalogue languages and exact saved printing identifiers are kept separate in the local binder. No trading or purchases take place on this website.
Card-issue reports
When you submit an incorrect-image, price or card-details report, PokéSage stores the card ID, catalogue language, issue type, your description, time and a reference number in a private review queue. Do not include contact details, passwords or other personal information. Reports older than 90 days are removed during subsequent queue activity.
A rotating hashed connection identifier and a single-use form token help limit spam and duplicate submissions. The report database does not store your raw IP address. Reports do not upload your saved collection or change catalogue data automatically. Ordinary hosting access logs may be handled separately as described on this page.
Optional collector accounts
You can collect as a guest without creating an account. Guest collections remain in your browser and are not uploaded automatically. Creating an account stores your chosen username, a salted password hash, a hashed recovery code and account creation time on this website’s server. No email address is requested.
While signed in, card identities, languages, printing choices, conditions, quantities and wishlist entries are saved to a private account collection. A browser copy supports recovery from connection failures. Other users cannot access this collection through a public profile. Importing a guest collection requires your review and confirmation; its original browser copy remains separate.
Essential secure session cookies keep you signed in. Sessions expire after 30 days or 7 days of inactivity; a short-lived form cookie helps protect sign-in requests. Passwords, recovery codes and authentication cookies are not stored in browser local storage. A rotating hashed connection identifier and hashed username identifiers limit abusive account requests; these rate-limit records expire during subsequent account activity after one hour. Ordinary hosting access logs are separate.
Use the Account page to export your collection, change your password or permanently delete your collector account and its collection from the live service. Account deletion does not delete your separate guest collection or your exported backups. Hosting backups may retain prior data until they expire under the hosting backup schedule. Keep your recovery code private: there is no email password-reset service in this version. Contact the site operator about personal-data requests using the contact details on this page.
Sealed products, retailer comparisons and saved targets
Bundles & Boxes and Deals are comparison and referral tools, not a checkout. Retailer records show dated observations with original currencies and stock as reported at that check. Continuous retailer feeds are not connected in this release. If you follow a retailer link, that retailer receives the ordinary technical request information and its own terms and privacy policy apply. No purchases or payments occur inside this feature.
Signed-in users may save sealed product IDs, quantities, wishlist status, target prices, target currency, delivery-country preference and requested future notification preferences. These data are stored privately with your existing collector account, separately from individual-card collections. They can be edited, removed or exported from My sealed products; deleting the collector account also removes them from the live account database. Guest product browsing does not upload your private card collection.
Notifications are not active. Saving a target or a restock preference does not start emails, push notifications or background monitoring. Enabling alerts later requires an approved data connection, a working checking schedule and notification delivery, with a clear activation choice. No email address is collected by the sealed-product feature.
A browser preference stores the chosen display currency and delivery country. A dated public ECB reference rate may be fetched by the server to display approximate currency conversions. These conversions are not actual retailer selling prices. Product pictures are served by PokéSage after a one-time download from the cited product records; browsing does not load a third-party retailer tracker.
eBay affiliate purchase links
PokéSage participates in the eBay Partner Network. We may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through the clearly labelled sponsored eBay links. These links open product-specific searches on eBay; they are not verified individual offers or a guarantee that an exact card, printing or product is available. PokéSage reference prices are separate from eBay selling prices. Check the seller, edition, language, condition, stock, shipping and final checkout price on eBay.
The eBay links contain our public campaign ID, a non-personal product/placement reference and the search terms shown by the card or product. They do not include your account ID, username, collection quantities, password or recovery code. This integration does not request eBay tracking pixels or load an eBay listing feed on page view. When you choose an eBay link, eBay receives the normal information associated with your visit and may use cookies or other attribution technologies under its own privacy and cookie choices.
Your chosen eBay country is stored in this browser so purchase searches use that marketplace next time. That setting is independent of card language and the EUR/USD reference-price display; it does not guarantee delivery to your address. Purchases and any returns or disputes are handled on eBay, not by PokéSage. Other retailer links are not converted into eBay referrals.
